With the match tied in the final minute of extra time, Ghana put a couple shots on goal, one in which Luis Suarez (not the team’s goalie) jumped up and blocked with his hands.
After getting booted off the field by the referee’s red card, Suarez walked off the field, and had his back turned when Ghana’s star striker, Asamoah Gyan slammed the ball off the crossbar on his potential game-winner. It went to penalty kicks and Uruguay’s goalie stopped two Uruguay shots to advance to the semis.
